TheThe South Marysburgh MirrorMirror If you would like to learn more about seed saving, permaculture, organic growing and com- pos(cid:415)ng, please let me know. Those of us in the Seedy Saturday group have some exper(cid:415)se - though my exper(cid:415)se is somewhat limited to connec(cid:415)ng people to those who are experts! - so do let me know if you have ques(cid:415)ons. The library is also hop- ing to present talks on related subjects in the near future. Finally, The Seedy Saturday group also re- cently made a dona(cid:415)on of over $300 in new garden- ing and seed saving books. These are currently being processed by the library to add to our collec(cid:415)on and a few other (cid:415)tles are forthcoming. I will provide (cid:415)- tles and descrip(cid:415)ons of all of these in the next issue of The Mirror. As always, we appreciate your support of the library and look forward to seeing you in the branch some(cid:415)me soon! 8 What's going The Library on at By Christine Renaud A great (cid:415)me was had by all during March Break when the Library held its Art & Ukulele March Break Camp at the Milford Town Hall. We extend our thanks to the South Marysburgh Recrea(cid:415)on Board for the use of the hall. Great (cid:415)me of fun and learning as the library hosted a Ukulele and Art Camp at Milford Town Hall The library will be taking part, as in the past, with Easter Bonnet making at the Milford branch before the Milford Easter Parade on Saturday, April 4th. Whitney will be on hand with all the trimmings needed to create something spring-like and fes(cid:415)ve! Please bring your own bonnet or hat to decorate. Bonnet making will take place from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. As you may have seen if you have been in the library lately, the Seed Library has been moved to the Milford branch from its original loca(cid:415)on in Picton. The Seed Library was started at least a year ago and is a place to pick up free seeds. Recently, we realized the collec(cid:415)on was somewhat neglected in Picton and in need of a bit of reorganizing and support. Members of the Seedy Saturday organizing group answered the call and Michella Kaduk has since created a display in the branch and sorted the seeds. These are available to "check out" by anyone with a library card. You do not have to return the seeds, of course, but we encourage people to save seeds, specifically open pollinated, heritage and or- ganic seeds, and to consider dona(cid:415)ng some back to the Seed Library.
