The South Marysburgh Mirror orci: Persoual Notices, ptaucuncements & Random Notes A Few Words of Thanks | would like to express my appreciation to everyone who supports The South Marysburgh Mirror. The pa- per could not exist without the help of a lot of peo- ple, foremost among them the advertisers. Many thanks for your continued support that enables The Mirror to be printed and mailed each month. Since it appeared on line in May 2012, The Mirror’s website has had 250,000 hits from 25,000 viewers, half of whom were first-time visitors. It now averages about 14,000 hits per month. Thanks are also due to The Mirror’s contribu- tors who take the time each month to submit arti- cles, columns or news items for circulation to the community. A number of others make monthly contribu- tions including the retailers and libraries throughout PEC who put it into their racks; Shaila Van Vlack, our Milford postmaster, who gets it prepared for distri- bution to South Marysburgh; and Printcraft who seem to place a priority to get each month’s issue printed, sometimes with tight deadlines. Whether a Happy Hanukkah on December 17th or Merry Christmas on December 25, best wishes for holiday celebrations shared with those you love, and for a safe and happy 2015. According to an AoG spokesperson, IF wpd’s project is approved and it buries the transmission line, municipal approval should be contingent upon boring a larger hole to accommodate electrically- driven rail cars, and the allocation of space for inter- change stations along the route. Complementing the underground rail line would be construction of above ground light rail lines along the Picton to Wel- lington corridor, and connections to more distant points such as Long Point and Sandbanks from the interchange stations. “lf the project is approved they have to dig anyway,” reasons the spokesperson, “so just dig a little deeper and a little wider. The vehicles could be powered by all the electricity they claim the tur- bines generate. We have a sub-committee of guys working on the specific routes and logistics that they should have ready to show folks later in December.” Discussions about the project, including pos- sible fares and schedules, continue at the AoG’s dai- ly morning meetings at Live Laugh Eat in Milford.
