Monica’s thought for the day was an oppor- tune poem about Thanksgiving. Secretary Marge reviewed our September minutes which were accepted as read. For roll call, everyone went back in time with a picture of themselves as children. Yes siree, those were the days! Card secretary, Mary, sent three get well cards from the group and one thank you. Treasurer Wilma reported our finances with no bills to be paid. Our members are meeting at Milford Town Hall on Tuesday, October 18th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to put together more quilts for the home- less. We are proud to announce that in August we finished 24 quilts, some to go to Alternatives for Women and the Salvation Army. Margaret closed the meeting with a letter about overweight people and a joke about cyanide. Monica’s program was a delightful challenge for us: to decorate a centerpiece to take home from the little pumpkins and many flowers and greenery which she provided. Thank you Monica, it was lots of fun.
