He himself was the martyr, There is some talk of appealing to the Town Council to have the dog by-law revived and possibly get a dog-catcher for the town, LOSES EYE IN ACCIDENT Picton. -- Russell Boyle, baseball and hockey player, is in Prince Ed- ward County Hospital as a result of an auto accident. Boyles was return- ing from Elmbrook when the bor- rowed car he was driving crashed into an elm tree in front of Dr, Platt's residence, Boyle was thrown from the car through a door. The loss will amount to over $1,000. APPOINTED RECTOR Brockville, -- Rev, S, E. Morton, St. Luke's, Kingston, has been ape jinted rector of Trinity church, rockville, succeeding the late Arch- deacon Woodcock. He was born on a farm at Thomasburg, graduated at "Trinity College, Toronto, ordained in 1908 and has had charges at Coe Hill, Carrying Place, Lyndhurst and St, Luke's, Kingston. HAD NARROW ESCAPE + « Frankford, -- Fire which visited the shanty on the 9h of Murray, wherein Earl Thompsop and "Chick" Chapman slept destroyed over five hundred dollars worth of muskrat pelts, The two men had a narrow escape, waking from sleep to find the shanty in flames, ROADS ARE GOOD Frankford. « Roads in this dis- frict are for the most part good, with perhaps the most notable excep- tion being from Trenton to Frank- ford. This road is very bumpy and rougl, although the bottom is solid, Most motorists are driving from Frankford to Glen Miller on the east side of the river where formerly they all drove on the west side.
