That was too bad, but on Christmas morning; sure enough, our stockings were filled with the things we bad wished for; and, besides the toys that Santa had brought, we often got lovely presents from aunts and uncles and big brothers and sisters, Then, as we became a little older and went to school, somebody fold us that there wasn't any Santa Claus, and, oh! bow our little hearts ached! How sed we felt! But the children who told us that there wasn't any Santa Claus, were wrong. They were too young to understand that Santa Claws is a Spirit that lives quietly in the hearts of fathers and mothers and comes very much to life on Christmas Day. And, sure enough, as we grew up, this Spirvit-of Santa Claus was born in us and when Christmas came, we not only received gifts because of the Spirit of Santa Claus living in others, but we ourselves gave gifts because of the Spirit of Santa Claus living in us. And isn't it wonderful to know that all over the world at Christmastime this Spirit of Santa Claus lives and makes everyone feel kindly towards everyone else? Notice it yourself today. Wherever you go, people ave saying "Merry and you answer their greeting with your own cheery "Merry Christmas", That is what the Spirit of Santa Claus does for people. It makes them forget care and worry and be bappy for this great day, Christmas" Many very wise people believe that this Spirit of Santa Claus comes from the Master who was born on this Day of Days in The Little Town of Bethle bem; He whose coming was proclaimed by the Singing of the Angels, Do you remember the story of the "Shepherds Who Watched Their Flocks By Night" and who followed the star until it rested over the manger where He lay, Isn't it splendid to know that, because of what bappewed 1929 years ago, nearly all the people of the Earth. are today proclaiming Peace on Earth and Good- will towards Men? VERY one of us in the Canada Bread Company wish you a Very Happy Christmas, and we hope that you will live to enjoy many more Happy Christmas Days. We believe, too, that the Spirit of Sante Claus, now living in you, will not only make you very happy today, but will be constantly with you through the New Year that is to come, Dedicated to Little Boys and Girls Canada B By The Limited read Company
