The dri- ver of the car failed to stop the ve- hicle after running over the dog. Drove Truck Hit By Brown Cobourg.--W. H. Noble, son of Provincial Constable Robert Noble, of Cobourg, was the driver of the truck that was struck by a car driven by Omar Brown, of Oshawa, west of Oshawa, Brown being killed, Brown was driving on the wrong side of the road at a fast speed when it crashed into the truck. Salvation Army Band Campbelliord,~Qver the week end, Campbellford has enjoyed a visit from the silver band of the Peterborough Salvation Army, This was not by any means the first visit of this well- known group of musicians to this town, But it was quite evident that their popularity has not decreased, On Saturday evening and on Sunday at various times the band played on the streets and in one of the local churches. Hit Train Lindsay.--Very little damage was done and no one was hurt when R. McGill, of Janetville, ran his car in- to the side of a train parked across Lindsay street at Durham street early Monday evening. The train was at a standstill and the watchman was on duty, McGill drove up and ran into the side of the train, As he was going slowly the damage was slight. Remembered Church Lindsay.--~The late Mrs. Geo. E. Rea, for many years a resident on Glenelg street, and a life-long mem- ber and active worker in First United Church, Camlridge street, graciously and generously remembered the church and its work at her death.
