General Motors of Oshawa are sponsoring the newly formed club, which will be known as the Gen- eral Motors Track and Field Club. This does not eliminate anyone in- terested in this line of athletivs, however, and any resident of this city is eligible to take an active or inactive part in the club. The meeting was. attended by close to seventy athletes, ex-ath- fetes and men interested in the fur- therment of the track and field sport in Oshawa. A nomination committee of ten men, one from many different departments of the Motors, were appointed and these ten will be busy getting nomina- tion for office, in order to be put before the next meeting of the Club.
