Toronto, May 11.--In a quiet spot at the northern end of Pros- pect cemetery are two graves side by side, where lie the bodies of Forrest Cummings and Miss Mar- garet Bird, victims of fire in the Balmoral apartments on Tuesday. They were buried Friday after- noon after a service at the funeral chapel of Bates and Dodds. The long funeral procession was led by the two hearses, and following fit were cars filled with friends, who included the Victoria Players and many of the Empire theatre players. Beautiful floral tributes were placed on the caskets. A large blanket of flowers came from the Victoria Players, and Robert Cum- mings, brother of the dead actor, sent a flower pillow with the word "prother." The Chicago Stock Co., Famous Players, Loew's Uptown and Mr. Vaughan Glaser all sent wreaths or sprays of flowers. Miss Charlotte Bird, sister of the dead actress, came from New York for the funeral. and was accompan-, jed by her friend, Miss Fredrica Finley. Rev. Canon Skey read the brief service at the graves, and then the mourners slowly left the cemetery.
