A super forum for seniors Attention Seniors! Are you taking advantage of all of the services avail- able to you? You can find out at the 3rd Annual Seniors Information Forum planned for November 7 at the Scugog Community Centre on Reach St. This event runs from 1 — 3:30 There will be over 40 vendors in attendance, announced Martha Casson. She’s the Chair of the Scugog Seniors Information Forum 2014, and Vice Chair of the Scugog Seniors Advisory Committee. There is even a waiting list for booth space! “There are tremendous resources for seniors,” Martha enthused. The forum is an opportunity to showcase all that is offered. Local resident Louise Bardsworth attended last year’s forum. “It was really interesting and helpful,” she com- mented. “I was frankly amazed at the number of resourc- es that are available for seniors.” Thanks to the forum, Louise was successful in arrang- ing services to help her elderly mother. “Tt was an afternoon well spent!” she added. Again this year, Beverly J. Bazak, RN, CDE, will represent the Outreach Team, Lakeridge Health, Diabetes Education Program. She described the forum as “well organized, exceptionally friendly.” “The participants of this forum are active seniors who have a keen interest in living life optimally,” Bev ob- served. Many attendees were interested in the “healthy living, diabetes self-management” information offered. There are two target markets for the forum, Martha " explained.
