Young emerging artists to be featured at gallery The Scugog Council for the Arts presents New Frontiers, an exhibition featuring the work of area young emerging artists in all media, in the Scugog Arts Resource Gallery in Port Perry. The exhibition opens on February 4 with an artist reception from 1-4 p-m. and continues until February 25. The New Frontiers exhibition provides an opportu- nity for young artists to explore their artistic potential ina public setting. “] think that the show has great potential because we are giving young artists the opportunity to show their work outside of the educational setting” states SARC Gallery volunteer curator, Jennifer Blair. “We will be showcasing new, exciting work created by art- ists just learning about the incredible things they can do with art”. New Frontiers is open to all young Durham Region artists between the ages of 14 and 21, who have not completed a post secondary program in arts or ex- hibited a body of work independently from a school setting.
