Limited edition “Early Life ” : May the love of family and the joy of the holidays on Lake Scugog” prints bring warmth end peace to your home, are a great Christmas gift This past August, the ‘Scugog Council for the Arts’ (SCA) and the Township of Scugog worked together with Shoppers Drug Mart to bring an original work of public art to the new Shoppers Drug Mart in Port Perry. The mural, titled “Early Life on Lake Scugog”, paint- ed by area artist and SCA member Tony Johnson, now hangs on the western wall of the building and celebrates Scugog’s railway heritage. “Early Life on Lake Scugog” features many local landmarks such as the old train station along Water St, the mill on Queen St. and the steamship Crandella. The 12x30 inch limited edition, giclee prints of Mr. Johnson’s original watercolour maquette are available for sale through the Scugog Council for the Arts. Each print is signed by the artist and wrapped in archival quality packaging. The (SCA), with the support of Mr. Johnson, is offer- ing the prints for $149 each.
