Five fine animals put in an ap- pearance - Della Walte, McKenzie’s Bird, Nettie Card, Mol- lie Darling and Princess Louise. Della was a favourite from the first appearance. McK- enzie’s Bird is a superior animal but Della covered more ground ina given time than she could. Nettie followed Della pretty closely during the first heat but never saw her again except on a run.
