According to Durham Regional Police, Jef- frey Turl, 26, of Oshawa was travelling southbound on Regional Road 2 near Concession Road 4, and was In the process of passing a number of vehicles when he collided with a northbound vehicle driven by Diane Thompson of Port Perry. Mr. Turl's 1991 Ponitac Grand Prix ricochetted off the car and veered into the west ditch, before coming to a stop In a grove of trees. Rick Vos, 26, of Oshawa, a passenger in Mr. Turl's car, was taken to hospital with minor Injuries. Damage to Mr. Turl's car was extensive and the other vehicle suffered approximately $4,000 damage. Mr. Turl has been charged with impaired driving.
