Grades 2-3 are concentrat- ing on the weeks of advent and various children do an ad- vent reading each day. Grade 2 had a geometry test last Thursday, while Grade 38 be- gan to use a calculator. Grades 4-5-6 had a very suc- cessful pizza day at Mrs. Ashenhurst's home last Friday judging by the happy faces. The class continues to work on Christmas activities. Grade 4 reviewing the first five chap- ters in their math books and is having a Cumulative Test. In Bible we are starting the story of Joseph. Grade 7-8: The school year of 1991 has certainly gone by quickly. Only one week of school left! WOW! The class enjoyed watching "Not With- out My Daughter" last Friday and we ended up asking many new and difficult to answer questions about the Islamic re- ligion. Students have picked names again this year and will ex- change gifts ($6 value). More details in next week's newslet- ter!
