I -------------- "A Family Tradition for 125 Years" Lette I'S to the editor Thanks to nurses who care From Page 8 ey that the people of Durham Region have donated? The patio where patients, family and friends sit was in terrible condition this summer -- no flowers in the planters, garbage, a broken table and umbrella. Where are the V.I.P.s? If a window is opened for some fresh air, and it is seen, no longer can it be opened. If one patient can have his/her window open, why not the oth- ers? Why couldn't they be opened once in a while to air the room? This could be done when the patients are out of the room. The administration should spend some time and see what is going on, Sepecially for those who can't express themselves or speak for themselves. Wouldn't that be a feather in whatever? -And a thank you to the nurs- es who care, and they know who they are, and also to the housekeeping staff. Mrs. Shill Mother of Susan 2nd floor P.S. Mr. Miller, we had a very hot humid summer. What about next year? Please think of the patients. Anger directed at hunters From Page 7 In speaking to the Ministry of Natural Resources on Mon- day morning, they informed me that the fine for allowing hounds to chase deer is $2,000 and that hounds are not al- lowed to chase deer at all dur- ing the deer season. To further my disgust, when the legal deer season starts on Nov. 4, these dogs will contin- ue to run on my property and several of my neighbors' prop- erties, which all have no hunt- ing signs posted. It appears that the hunters should be pay- ing my mortgage and taxes since I obviously don't have any control over "my" property. Respectfully submitted, Judy Barrett ON ELECT ALLAN H.
