And to make the con- test even more interesting, the person with the most votes overall wins a weekend geta- Over 100 attend 63rd Leask family reunion By Jean Temple Over 100 people attended the 63rd Ontario Leask Reunion Picnic on June 9 at Goodwood Park. The family has an extra spe- cial reason to celebrate this year asitis the Sesquicentenni- al of Peter Leask coming to Canada from Scotland. The games were organized by Joan and Jeff Temple. The following are the results from the childrens races. Boys and girls (2-3 years old): Brooklyn - Daneliak, Alex Leask, and Philip Cosgrave. Girls (4-5): Brittany Daneli- ak, Heather Kerr, and Mea- ghan Leask. Boys (4-5): Mark Temple, Jonathon Kerr, and Alex Stone. Boys and girls (5-6): Steven Foreman, Jeff Bradley, and Me- ghan Stone. Boys and girls (8-9): Michael Temple, Andrew Wilkinson, and Jolene Askew. Boys and girls (10-11): Betty Jo Bradley, Matthew Temple, and Carolyn Stone. Boys and girls (12-14): Bill Leask and T.J. Leask. The following are the results from the ball throwing contest. Men: Andrew Palmer, Tony Leask and Rick Kerr. Women: Eve Stone, Shona Stone and Bonnie Leask. Boys: Bill Leask, T.J. Second place went to Tony Leask and Steve Daneliak. The indoor program started at5p.m. Elmer Eadie welcomed eve- ryone. Piper Shona Stone and John and Emily Stone led the kilted as with Charlie and Del rockett from Pennsylvania carrying the Haggis. President Elmer Eadie gave the address to the Haggis. It was then served by Charlie and Del Crockett. Ross Stone said grace. The 50/50 draw winner was Kathy Daneliak. Bob Leask won the door prize. Andrew Palmer and T.J. Leask were the adult and child who won in the candy in the jar contest. Al Stocks (men), Tracey Palmer (woman), Matthew Temple (boy), and Betty Jo Bradley (girl) were winners in the frisbee golf tournament. Kira Daneliak was the youngest girl in attendance, while youngest boy honors went to Matthew Bowes. Estelle Leask was named the youngest woman at heart. George Leask picked up the Turn to Page 31 way for two at the Pine Vista Resort on Stoney Lake. The real winner, though, is the Community Memorial Hos- pital. It receives all the pro- ceeds from the contest. Ain't that swell? Nine contestants have been nominated to date. They are Pete Kneale for cowboy, Liz Drebit for belle, Orval Nelson for gramps, Marion Lee for granny, Ryan Edgar for teen, Lesley Sweetman and Codie Forsyth for baby, Bill Barr for villain, and Mary Fines for business person.
