# Port Perry Curling Club was the scene of the annual two-day : y "Cash Spiel" over the weekend. A rink from Whitby Curling Club captured the A division and the $1,000 first prize. This division was sponsored by Goreski Roofing and Insulation. With John are Mike Smith, Sean Gerster and Sean Slapnicar. The C event winners were from Boulevard Club Toronto, and took home $400 for their efforts. Game one saw Sportsland win its third game straight in the playoffs with a 3-2 win over Com- pton Cable T.V. Tallying for Sportsland were Ed Olsen 1 goal, 1 assist, Dave Harrison 1 goal, 1 assist and Mike McQuade 1 goal. Mark Jobb and Brad Hurst had 2 assists apiece. Scoring for Compton was Larry Pilkey unassisted and Jim Dun- can from Bob Tarbotton and Larry Pilkey. The second game was a carbon copy of the first as Fitzgerald's squeezed past J & D 3-2. Counting for Fitzgeralds were Bill Bridge 1 goal, 1 assist, Carl Fitzgerald.1 goal, 1 assist, and Al Bonner 1 goal, 1 assist. Fighting back for J & D were Dennis Lycett from Rob Evans and Ken Little then Dave Mann from Ken Little Game three saw Andersons mount a strong comeback as they tied Crandells 3-3. Scorers for Andersons were Bill Van Camp 1 goal, 1 assist, Bruce Gracie and John Kotarba 1 goal each. Other assists went to Carl Durward 2, Tom Patton 2 and Dave Bourgeois 1. For Crandells it was Rick Campbell 2 goals, Bob Beveridge 1 goal, 1 assist, Henrv Forderer. Ray Zaparanuik and Bob Lee each with single assists. The fourth game was more wide open as Van & Truck World defeated Nortons 5-1. Leading the way for Van & Truck World were Dick Martin 2 goals, John Robertson 1 goal, 1 assist, Wayne Fox and Glen McCoy with singles. Assisting were Richie Lefort 3, Paul Van Camp 2, Randy Prosser 2, Ken Davison and Dennis Sims 1 apiece. The lone marker for Nortons was Dave Roth from Rob Kroonenburg.
