At this point most of the teams have been set for next months Ontario Finals in Owen Sound. In the line up so far are: Dave Van Dyne, Ottawa; Wayne Talon, Ottawa; Vic Suzuki. East York; Bob Fedosa, Brampton; Russ Howard, Penetang; Kirk Ziola, London; Brian Derooy, Chatham and Ed Werenich, Toronto who gained an automatic entry as the current Brier Cham- pion. There is still one Regional winner to be decided along with the winners from the Challenge Round at the end of this month. THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF DURHAM PUBLIC NOTICE REVIEW OF THE DURHAM REGIONAL OFFICIAL PLAN RECOMMENDED CHANGES FOR THE CONSIDERATION of PLANNING COMMITTEE and REGIONAL COUNCIL Take notice that the Planning Committee of the Regional Municipality of Durham is considering recommended changes to the text and maps of the Durham Regional Official Plan as a result of its review of the Durham Regional Official Plan in accordance with the Plann- ing Act. The staff recommended changes are contained in Commissioner's Report No. 91-P-1 and will be presented to the Durham Planning Committee on January 29, 1991. The Committee has tentatively scheduled to make its recommendations to Regional Council in April of 1991. The actual date of Planning Committee making its recom- mendations and the actual date of Regional Council considering the recommendations of Planning Committee will be advertised in due course in the newspapers. A copy of the report is available for inspection at the Regional Plan- ning Department, the office of the Regional Clerk, the Clerk's Of- fice in each Area Municipality and public libraries. The report can also be puchased from the Planning Department at the address listed below. Any individual who wishes to appear before the Planning Commit- tee should contact Ms. Catherine Coe of the Planning Department at the telephone number listed below. A display showing the recommended changes will be available for inspection in the Durham Planning Office from January 29 to February 8, 1991, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.. In front are skip Kyle Flynn and Jay Tredway. And at back are Matt Phoenix and David Holt. Scugog mens hockey league Fitzgerald's 3 Point Up!!! Game one was a quick end to end match that saw Sportsland fight back but came up just short in a 6-5 loss to Crandell's. Leading the way for Crandell's were Bob Beveridge 2 goals, 4 assists, Doug Bronson 2 goals, 2 assists, Ken Jeffrey 1 goal, 1 assist and Steve Groves 1 goal. Henry Forderer added 4 assists to close out the scoring. Fighting back for Sportsland were Rick Olaisen with the "hat trick,"" Dave Harrison 1 goal, 1 assist and Ed Olsen 1 goal. Scoring for Fitzgerald's were Bill Bridge 2 goals, 2 assists, Ken Smart and Don Hockley 1 goal each. Adding assists were Dave Jackson 2, Gary Lance, Wayne Norton and Jody peters. Counting for Norton's were Dave Milton, Brain Norton and Dave Dickson each with one goal. Assists to Tony Oxley 2, Bill Haynes, Doug Brown, Rob Kroonenburg and Dave Roth. Game three was a good check- ing game in which Anderson's and Van & Truck World battled it out to a 2-2 tie. Scorers for Van & Truck World were Richie LeFort from Paul VanCamp and Brian Samis, then it was Brian Samis from Richie LeFort and Paul VanCamp. Equalers for Anderson's were Larry Jackson from Bill Van- Camp and Dave Bourgeois then Dave Bourgeois unassisted. The fourth game was all but a blowout as J&D Carpentry had no trouble in handling Compton by a 7-3 score. Capitalizing for J&D were Fred Moffatt 2 goals, 2 assists, Rob Evans 1 goal, 1 assist, Dennis Lycett, Joe Curran, Larry Cour- tice, and Dave Mann each had single goals. Chris Brain, Roger Moase, Richard Sakanashi, Jason Warner, and Dave Sandison all had single assists. For Compton it was Larry Pilkey 1 goal, 2 assists, Rick Hope and Bob Tarbotton 1 goal each.
