Last Sunday morning Burns Church school gathered together for their annual Christmas party. A short program was presented, with carol singing and munching on sausage rolls and muffins. Our thanks to Jackie Andrews and John Barfoot for their fine effort. Candy bags were handed out to the children. Next Sunday morn- ing, it's classes as usual for all ages. Bring along your children and join with us. Next Sunday morning is White Gift Sunday at Burns, when we remember those who are less for- tunate than we are. Non perishable items or cash dona- tions are appreciated. The annual Chirstmas Hayride and carol sing will take place on Friday, December 14th. Please meet at Burns Church parking lot at 6:20 p.m.. The wagons will be leaving at 6:30. Children are to be accompanied by an adult. For more details, watch for the poster in the store. The Ashburn Community Christmas Concert will be held at Burns Church hall on Wednesday, December 19. The doors will swing open at 6:00 p.m. with the concert starting at 6:30 sharp. Santa will make his grand arrival at 7:30 p.m... The Ladies Bible Class are packing Chirstmas shut-in boxes on Wednesday, December 19 at the church. We are grateful for homemade goodies or cash donations. Everyone in the community is invited to the Christmas Eve Candlelighting Service at Burns Church at 8:00 p.m.. Last weekend was a hub of ac- tivity at the Murcott Christmas Tree farm, when many from far and near came to choose and cut their own Christmas tree.
