Come and worship with us! 50th Anniversary Celebrated Recently, a 50th anniversary celebration was held for Len & Doris Prout of Don Mills and sum- mer residents of Caesarea. Their immediate family Barry & Joanne, Keith & Nancy, and Elaine & Ron Kimmell and their families (7 grandchildren) were all present for this special occa- sion, as well as other family members and many close friends. Dale Davis and Kay Heuer, sharing the service! Rev. Dale Davis spoke on the subject of "Talents." Everyone has talents and every talent is needed, necessary and vital to the community in which we live. We are called to be Christ's Disciples! Scripture was read by Kay Heuer and Reg. Hughes. Rev. Dale led the S.S. children with theme centred around The Lord's Prayer. The Quintet sang "Come As A Child" with our able musician. Carol Mairs at the piano. Kay Heuer was introduced and warmly welcomed by Rev. Dale Davis. Kay told the congregation a little about her background and training at the Centre for Chris- tian Studies. Neta was keeping the Holland children and William Leishman for the weekend while their parents went shopping. She had a great visit with her grandchildren - six in all! The S. Cawkers, Scugog Pt. Rd., enjoyed having the deer hunters from the Oshawa area for the four day hunt! Hope to see them again next year. The S. I'm not complaining mind you, because after that blustery weekend just past, the 60 degree plus weather was most welcome. And yes, it was nice to do a few extra rounds of golf. Who needs to go south? This week, Church & Sunday school will be held in Utica at 11:00 a.m.. Choir practise is at the Sobil's on Thursday at 8 p.m.. Friday is euchre night at Utica Hall starting at 8 p.m.. Come on out, you will be most welcome. The Sutcliffe family took ad- vantage of the opportunity to tour the submarine HMCS Okanagan while it was in port at Oshawa on Friday. November seems to be the month that children in this area celebrate birthdays and I have been remiss in noting some of them that I am aware of, so here goes. It was a year ago on the 6th of November that the Scott family had all the excitement at their home with the birth of their son who is truly a Utica born baby. Belated happy birthday to Robert. And how could I forget that sweet little girl who lives next door. Cassandra Aked shared her birthday cake with her friends at the day care on the 14th.
