Bill Bridge started the scoring with Tim Ashbridge assisting. Brian Pomeroy from Dan Taylor and Tim Ashbridge and Pomeroy from Ashbridge and Dale Lown scored the next 2. Dave Canning from Brian Robinson and Scott Heard rounded out the scoring. Keith Tremblay had the shutout. Old foes Monsma and Blackstock met in the second match with Monsma squeaking out a 3-2 victory. Tom Hansford continued his rapid scoring pace counting 2 goals 1 assist. Ken + Fraser had the other Monsma goal with Rick Schoer, Kerr Kingston and George Mondor picking up the other assists. Ron Short from Gord Bryon's and Kevin Grieve from Tom Wotten replied for Blackstock. For the 2nd time in as many weeks the 3rd game ended in a tie and there wasn't time to play O.T. On Saturday evening exhibition play continued at home against Whitby. Once again the visitors dominated play for the most part but Port was able to double their output for the day by scoring two goals, both by Greg Thompson with and assist going to Brad Morton. Lots of line shuffling these days as coach Bruce Gracie is trying to come up with a winning combina- tion. He may have to resort to steroid use, as our opposition to date have looked huge. A back injury to Todd Parry gave players and fans alike, some very anxious moments late in the game on Saturday night. He has to get some R & R for a few days and we look forward to having him back in the line-up.
