Hospital conducts mock patient search Every year, Community Memorial Hospital exercises at least one of its contingency plans. These plans outline procedures to be followed in the event of a ma- jor influx of patients (due to a disaster, eg. bus crash), firein the hospital, or a missing patient. The exercise helps staff to identify weaknesses and strengths in the plans. On October 10, the hospital con- ducted one of these exercises, simulating a situation wherein a patient deliberately hid himself away from staff.
