Ac- tion from Saturday, September 29 had Frank Real Estate defeating Emmerson Insurance by the score of 6-2. Sean Larocque had 3 goals to start the season, with singles go- ing to Darin Hope, Sean Gawley and Bill Sandiford. Replying for Emmersons was Mark Jensen and Brad Lemieux. In game two it was I.G.A. over Swamp Auto by the score of 8-2. Scoring for I1.G.A.: Blair Beveridge had 2 goals & 4 assists. Other scorers were Brett Lawson & Steve Gilbert 2 goals each, singles to Ryan Delaney and Matt Coyne. Both goals for Swamp were scored by Mark Cosway. Frank Real Estate had too lit- tle too late as I.G.A. built up a 5-0 lead and went on to win 5-2 in Ban- tam House League action. Scoring for Frank's were Kent Jamieson witn 2 goals and Ryan Delaney 1 goal, 2 assists, Jerry Blackburn 1 goal, 2 assists and Tim Lepage 1 goal and 2 assists and Cliff LeFort with 2 assists. Replying for Frank's Real Estate were Bill Sandiford 1 goal, Neil Mueller 1 goal, Sean Gawley 1 assist, Troy Hope 1 assist. Both Jamie Lowe and Rob Ashton played well between the pipes, with some excellent saves. Swamp Auto Body had all hands on deck for this game against Emmerson Insurance and it showed in the final score of 11-1. Scoring for Emmersons were Mark Cosway 3 goals, Adam Jones 1 goal, 1 assist, Rob Romano i goal, 1 assist, Peter Simms 1 goal, Greg Fitzgerald 1 goal, 1 assist, Mike Labanovitch 1 goal, Kevin Pearce 1 goal, 2 assists, Brandon Puckrin 1 goal, Adam Johnston 1 goal, 2 assists. Other assists went to Daryl Slack, John Hall, Rob Romano and Ben Blanchard. Scoring the lone goal for Em- merson Insurance was Rick Olaisen assisted by his brother Mike. Special mention should go out to Greg Rankin who resembled a duck in a shooting gallery. The 11 goals do not reflect how well he played. PEE WEE HOUSE LEAGUE The first game in the Pee Wee House League was between Scala and Emiels. The score 5-3 for Scala. Kevin Hobbs scored 3 goals, earning the first hat trick of the year. Darren Kinnunen and Matt Mantel scored also for Scala. Matt Baxter added 2 assists, with John Sax, Philip Donnelly and Chris Vandemere contributing the other assists. Scoring for Emiels was Jeremy Stevens 2 and Robbie Martin 1. After a hard fought scoreless second period, Gord Lewis open- ed the third period on a goal by Paul Shrigley which was assisted by Jeff Gunn and Corey Branton. Lake Scugog Lumber vs Whitby Auto Wreckers The season opener saw a hard skating battle between two spirited clubs. The first period featured a fast pace with end to end action. It appeared to be a goalies bat- tle until midway in the first, when Chris Jamison opened the scor- ing, assisted by Ben Stevenson. A second goal by Jay Fletcher gave Whitby Auto Wreckers a two goal lead at the end of the second.
