The game was a see-saw battle right up to the final inning when Port Perry came through with a 14-12 victory. Joan Hood of the Community Memorial Hospital provided the garnishes for the barbecue and Carolyn Best provided the playing field for the game. There was six tables, and the winners of the evening for the Ladies were Ruby Dusty, Doris Hill and Norma Do- ble, and for the Men: Ross Cookman, Harry Hill and Andy Munro, and the door prize was won by Anna Beaton. The Legion Hall in Port Perry was broken into. Thieves got away with 120 packages of cigarettes. The incident was reported to Campbell at Northminster United Church, Oshawa, on Sunday.
