Letters Water St. eyesore To the Editor: In correspondence to the letter (Eye Sore) on our beautiful Water Street. Where is the brick work to be placed between the sidewalk and road? The sand blows and settles every day on our balcony. Our furniture and windows have to be washed every day. Ilive in an apartment on Water Street. The pot-holes in the en- trance off Water Street are unreal. These holes are so large you have to go through slowly in order to protect the car. Always there is someone honking the horn GRADUATE Herman and Eunice Rodman, RR2, Lit- tle Britain, are pleased to announce the graduation of their son Blalr from Sir Sandford Fleming College, Peterbo- rough, on June 16, as an Electronic Engineering technologist, majoring In computer systems. Congratulations on receiving a Dean's letter on your outstanding performance. Blair Is the grandson of Kathleen Rodman, Lind say and Cecil and Edna Wiison of Port Perry. Blalr has accepted a position with the federal government. at you. If they lived here and had to use the (Bivensve everyday. I'm sure they would be careful as not to do damage to the car. It's the young people of today that made them that was especially the ones by the vacant lot. They sit and spin their tires and make the gravel and sand fly everywhere: This should be pav- ed to avoid all this. This same area is also a hang- out for the young kids of today. The loud music, swearing, drink- ing, etc., goes on all the time. They throw all their garbage on the ground and in the morning it's a real eye sore. I think this area should be more patrolled and a garbage can put out where they can see, prehaps they would use it. We did have one until they started construction on Water Street and it disappeared. Also, walking along Water Street to Queen Street is no picnic. In front of the Old Creamery pro- perty, there is a garbage pail over-flowing and it stinks when the sun is on it you have to hold your nose when passing this. Also, along the street in front of the building now being erected, the sand on the sidewalk is about 2 in- ches thick and hard to walk through and when wearing san- dals or high heels, you have to walk on the road. Why doesn't the Township clean this street up. This is a well used street and an eye sore to the beholder. It's a beautiful place to live so let's keep it that way. Sincerely, Doris Redman Port Perry the special occasion Happy Birthday Happy Birthday Sarah SS Thursday this week will be a big day for little Sarah Embly as this happy blue-eyed, blonde-haired youngster celebrates her first birthday.
