Gordon Venson Hughes pleaded guilty to the charge in Peterborough court last month. Scugog regatta ready to go this weekend For more than half a centu- ry, the community of Caesarea has hosted the annual Lake Scugog Regatta. It is believed to be among the oldest continuous regattas in the country. And this year the 58th Lake held August4,5,and 6. The purpose of the Regatta is simple enough: to promote sports, provide entertainment and foster community spirit. This year, organizers have added a new attraction. An antique car parade will be held on Saturday August 4 startingat 10:00 AM. And the youngsters (11 and under) will be parading as well from the Firehall in Caesarea to Putsey Park, with prizes for the best decorated wagon or bicycle.
