Pee Wee MoJacks blank Bolton during home game | The Port Perry Pee Wee Mo- Jacks continue to find the going tough in the York Durham League, winning one out of four games in the last two weeks. Things started off well at home against Bolton when Lance Peters opened the first inning with a home run and led Port to a quick 7-0 inning. Scott Heasman, Ricky Olaisen, and Neil Mueller added homers before the game ended 30-4. Steve Gilbert and Brent Harper each scored four times in the game. Billy Zaparanuik fanned 5 and allowed only 3 hits over 5 innings to pick up his first win of the season. The following night, MoJacks were on the other end of a blowout as a powerful Thornhill team pounded out a 28-3 win. Jake was touched for 14 runs on 9 hits over 2 innings to take the loss. Billy went almost 4 innings, with Ricky finishing up. Port counted all three runs in the last inning when Ricky, Neil and Colin Meijerink crossed the plate. Thornhill's first two pitchers chalked up 11 K's. Back home against Pickering, the tendency to give up a big inn- ing hurt again as MoJacks trail- ed 3-2 going to the last inning on- ly to lose 8-2. The visitors bunch- ed 2 hits, 3 walks and 3 errors in their late surge. Chad Kearns threw the complete game, giving up a total of 8 hits and fanning 4. Neil and Dave Bourgeois counted the Port runs. The next night in Stouffville, big innings did it again as the home team racked up 6 and 8 run inn- ings to score a comeback 17-9 win. Billy started strongly and carried a 4-3 lead into the 4th inning before six straight hitters scored. Chad relieved and put out that fire but couldn't keep the eruption under control as Stouffville counted 8 more in the 5th. That cushion was enough to make a Port rally too little too late. Chad hit a homerun and, along with Dave and Ricky scored twice to lead the offense. The MoJacks will travel to Scarborough this week for a Wednesday game.
