It was a successful conference with 250 delegates. A ladies quartette provided special music at the service too. Church is at the usual time next Sunday with George Timms as soloist. A very special thank you is given to Greenbank Nurseries for the donations of a native elm tree to our vocation Bible School. Thanks to Bill Puckerin who planted the tree; (Ruth) is doing just fine so far. Several from the area were in Bracebridge for a baseball tour- nament one day recently. Five ladies from Greenbank at- tended the County Women's In- stitute picnic in Elgin Park in Ux- bridge last Tuesday. The winners at the euchre last Friday were Ladies: Earla Hill, Ruby Dusty and Muriel Gibson. Mens: Andy Munroe, Gary Munroe and Willie Stone. Draws were won by Gary Munroe, Grant Drewery and Jean Hunter. Thanks to Margaret Prohaska, Mary Drewery and Jean Hunter for providing the lunch. The next euchre is on Friday, August 10th. The tickets for the beef barbecue to be held on Friday August 3rd are printed and ready for sale. If interested call Rodd Foster, Ray- mond Kerry, Jim Rushford or any of the church stewards. The ladies are responsible for the pies. If and Budget more details are needed call Suzanne Lee or Marie Foster. Aileen Dobson, Muriel Leask and Mary Jean Till visited with Grace Reynolds, Stratford last week. The Couperthwaites were very pleased and surprised to have a visit from Wayne Briscoe one day recently. He was an old neighbour. Laura Dobson visited with her grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Art Couves over the weekend. The Greenbank Midgets were in a baseball tournament in Kitchener on the weekend. Mr. & Mrs. Budd Innis, Mr. & Mrs. Terry Crawford, Mr. & Mrs. Fred Timms, and Mr. & Mrs Murry Lee went to cheer the team along. The coaches and sponsors were pleased with their team but too bad they lost in the rain.
