DONNA ANDERSON PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, July 17, 1990 -- 13 It was so good to see the rain but did it have to come on Festival Days Weekend. Organizers did well to arrange everything. My three bought t-shirts but Elizabeth is the only one who is allowed to wear hers. I'm writing this in pain. Last week John & I tried to show Heather & Robbie how to play soccer. We did manage to win 10-9 but Heather kicked me in the ankle. She grinned when I asked if I could borrow her shin pads for the next game. We Bredins have to learn the hard way. Heather wouldn't wear shin pads until she was kicked in the ankle. Ed Daigle has had a busy sum- mer so far. He is coaching a soc- cer team & travelling to Europe & also to a family reunion in Nova Scotia. He is doing a great job as \| tended the Be coach. He has coached a cham- pion team, and I can see why. His theatrical voice carries across the field as he encourages his team. Don't over do it, Ed. Max & Charleen are also busy. It was good to hear about Tracie Andrews & her singing. Parents, please inform us about + the good things yeur kids are do- ing. We must accentuate the positive. Ii On the weekend the Bredins at- test. centre employees picni¢ at Terry & Peggy Staples in Janetville. The food was plentiful, games were varied but unstructured. The hay ride was concluded by the annual visit at the Janetville monster. Terry is the deputy reeve at Manvers Township. : Have you noticed the Nixon's house has been rejuvinated? It looks great.
