Born and raised Spring by Wendy Clark Well, Easter weekend has gone on by but certainly many enjoyed their delicious Easter dinner. Monday April 16th, there was a big Easter Egg Hunt. Mr. L. Blaikie found the most hidden eggs. Afterwards we joined together for tea and a discussion on Easter. During the afternoon of the 17th, we had a Bunnikins Tea Party with our friends from Cannington N.H.. We all par- ticularly enjoyed the visit from the cute little Easter Bunny. We then had many join in on a varie- ty of games. The monthly Residents Council meeting took place the following day. The ma- jor topic was about purchasing a new freezer. The majority ruled to go ahead with these plans. Other suggestions were summer vacation plans. Thursday brought with it another busy preparation day. In the afternoon we were all treated to a special Easter suprise. Magician Steve Hepburn put on a fabulous magic show. Many residents were thrilled to pet the rabbit that he brought - along. Friday ended the week with another work day all in preparation for the upcoming bazaar. Monday April 23rd, we had a bowling match with two high scorers. Congratulations to B. Ayers and L. Blaikie for achiev- ing 100 pts. The afternoon of the 25th, we hosted our monthly bir- thday party. Our sponsor for this month was the Port Perry United Church. A very special thank you to this group for the cake, gifts, music and games. All other available time over the week of the 23-27 had been spent finishing up crafts, projects and doing lots of baking. Birthday wishes are extended to Mrs. Mae Maloney (May 7) and to Miss Edith Sweet (14). Our sympathy is extended to the family of Mr. Ed Barnhardt and also of Mrs. Clara Ray. Our two dear friends passed away recently but will alvays be remembered in our hearts. A special welcome to Mrs. Daisy Russell who has joined our little homestead.
