A _ Arena fundraiser to feature Lobster Fest If the thought of two fresh lobsters makes you hungry, wait until May 26. That's the night of Lobster Fest 90 at the Scugog Arena, a fund-raising dinner and dance with proceeds going to Port Perry Minor Hockey. Dinner gets underway at 6:00 PM with the main course of two fresh lobsters, flown direct from the East Coast, and pre- pared by Phil McBride and his staff at the Galley Fish and Chips. And after you've had your fill of lobster, stick around for the dance. Key 590 radio personality Mike Cooper will MC the eve- ning and local DJ Dave Jamie- son will spin the great hits from the 608, 60s, and 70s. It promises to be a great evening of fun and proceeds from the sale of tickets at $25 per person for the dinner and dance will help Minor Hockey purchase new equipment and keep registration fees down next season. The evening is being orga- nized by Norm Gawley, a mem- ber of the Minor Hockey execu- tive, and he says that reservations for tables of ten or more can be secured. He is hoping that about 700 tickets will be sold. Tickets are now on sale from any member of the Minor Hockey executive, or at several locations including the Galley, Pineridge Sports, Sportsland, the Seagrave Store and the Jan- etville Store. If you haven't got May 26 (that's a Saturday) circled on your calendar, do it. Get your ticket and plan on a great eve- ning. And you'll be helping to support minor hockey in the community at the same time. Triathalon race will be new feature event for Canoe the Nonquon On your mark! Get set!
