Angie Dowson is skating up a storm. Recently she won in Oshawa at an Invitational mee! on Jan. 12, 13. She then won a first in Uxbridge. Her name was put on a memorial trophy. Angie also came in first in Minden. What a great job you are doing. All of Prince Albert are proud of you. Ken and Maureen Dowson had a good holiday in Hawaii. It rain- ed two days but otherwise things were great. Robert Danzer is a very lucky young man. He is in his 4th year at Waterloo. He will be spending a few months in Guyana, South America where he will be travell- ing with a medical team studying cateracts and other health things. He will be with the Youth Challenge International. This trip is to help him decide if he wants to continue towards a medical career. Good luck from all of us. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lehmann have returned from 3 weeks in the Dominican Republic. Irene Moore hosted the Shirley Women's Institute with a very good attendance of ladies. Don't forget the Congregational Supper and Show and 5 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 25. I heard from a very important little birdie that the entertainment is going to be down right toe stomping. Make sure that you are going to be part of this great night of fun. The U.C.W. is having a special meeting at the church on Wed. Feb. 14, at 8:00. Susan Reed is go- ing to be talking about Sunday School. Since we have a declining membership it will be very in- teresting to hear what Susan has to say. Please plan to attend. Speaking of Sunday School, next Sunday our Sunday School will be planting seeds for our Mother's Day plants. Please dress accordingly. On Monday Feb. 19, the Prince Albert S.A.C. will be meeting at 7:00 in the library. Mrs. Correll our principal will be discussing the new direction that schools are taking. Please make sure you mark this night on your calendar. Happy Birthday to Bill Dicken- son who will celebrate his birth- day on Valentine's Day. Bill does an excellent job as a crossing guard at the school. I'm sure he's thinking about his garden about now. Don Phinney will be celebrating his birthday on Feb. 15th. I wasn't told how old he'll be but he gets better looking everyday I see him. Don and his fellow teammates went curling at the Granite Club and came in third. Another curl- ing victory for him. Keep up the good work. One of our hockey teams went to Campbellford and won the con- solation championship. Special congratulations to Ian Shrigley and Ricky Olaisen for doing such a fine job. Their medals are lighting up the cloudy days around here. Oh, by the way, if you see Don Phinney ask him what he got for his birthday. He will mutter something about his car breaking down on the way to Campbellford or maybe he'll mutter about a certain speeding ticket. My children are very pleased that I received so much news this week. The more phone calls and news the less I write about them. This Wednesday is Valentine's Day. It's a chance for everyone to say "Hey I'm glad to know you." Please give a special hug to your love ones. Smile at a stranger. I would have had some words of wisdom for you. My Secret Friend at C.C.P.S. gave me three pages of hood humerous thoughts but unfortunately I left them at .school. If you have any news, please call Ilean Pugh next week.
