Scugog Mayor Howard Hall said the council believes the wording in the lease is clear and councillors want the matter dealt with in a higher court. He also pointed out that Scugog must pay Durham Re- gion and the School Boards about 75 per cent (as their share) of the taxes on that prop- erty each year. The Mayor said that con- sidering the lease is now three years old and has another seven to run, the sum of money is con- siderable for the municipality.
