Doug and Helena Edinger recently enjoyed a visit from Ray- mond and Claudette Raby from Keromeos, British Columbia. Doug and Helena first met the Raby's in Stuart, British Colum- bia in 1967. After 22 years, they finally got together. I am sure everyone had a great time. The Seagrave United Church Community Outreach is holding a musical evening on October 15 at 7 p.m. The Emmanuel Band from the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Port Perry will be featured. Everyone in the com- munity is welcome and are urg- ed to attend what should be an ex- cellent evening. From Papua, New Guinea to Seagrave: Marion Sedgwick, United Church Medical Mis- sionary will be at the Seagrave Church on Monday October 23 at 7:30 p.m. This event is sponsored by the U.C.W. Everyone in the community is invited to attend this interesting evening. Happy belated birthday wishes this week to Timmy Wray, Corey Keeplo Seagrave and Area News by Ann Sandiford Slute, Jeff Slute, Scott Run- cieman, Jennifer Berry and Mark Jansen. The Seagrave Church 83rd an- niversary service was held a week ago Sunday. The guest speaker was Joyce Duncan, who gave an inspiring message. A special thank you to the guest soloist, Mrs. Gretel Cameron for her beautiful music. Mr. Barry Martin accompanied her with two numbers. Thanks to you both for your wonderful music. A surprise wedding shower was held last week for Marjie Cameron, daughter of Gretel and Clarence Cameron of Robinglade Estates. The shower was hosted by Marlene Wolters and Shirley Gagne. Marjie and Bill Barton will be married on November 11. Best wishes to you both. Congratulations and best wishes to Anita Edinger and Kevin Jackson on their engage- ment Saturday evening. We'll be watching for news of your upcom- ing wedding. Happy 40th birthday wishes to Glen Turnbull and Amy Wannamaker. It's that time of year again, The Seagrave Turkey Supper will be held at the Seagrave United Church on Wednesday, November 1.
