DEE Msn et CT -- -- ---------- : MORROW FARM EQUIPMENT LTD. Sunderland 1-705-357-3121 Building school was a mammoth job This week's Eagle Expression is written by grade 7 student, Michelle LePage. Michelle inter- viewed Frank Pahlke, one of the many workmen who have con- tinued to finish the construction of S.A. Cawker during the month of September. Job Goes Smoothly by Michelle LePage The building of S.A. Cawker Public School was a mammoth job but according to Frank Pahlke things went smoothly. Mr. Pahlke has worked on the school for around 165 hrs. Being his first school as a finish carpenter, he is pleased with the results. Mr. Pahlke enjoyed working on the school because he likes work- ing with his hands, learning new things and having things to show for his labour. Just to look at the school you can see that many workers enjoyed working on the school. The school turned out nicely even with the hustle and bustle of workers doing overtime in order for the school to be done on time. Of course the job went smoothly. Let's hope that the school year at S.A. Cawker will go smoothly also! S.A. Cawker curriculum night The staff of S.A. Cawker invites parents to Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 28. Dr. W. H. Crawford used as his sermon theme, "A Child's Testimony' from Scripture 2 Kings 5:3. The story of a little maid taken captive - a servant of Mrs. Naaman, the wife of the great Commander-in-chief of the Syrian Army, Naaman was sick with Leprosy. The little Maid's Testimony was that the Prophet in Israel would be able to Pray for Naaman and he would be healed of his Leprosy. The Little Maid's Testimony was the means of bringing Naaman to the Prophet and his life was saved. A special service with two Bap- tisms! 1. Tyler James Thomas In- wood, son of Brent and Lori In- wood of Caesarea and 2. Brandon James Quigg, son of David and Barbara Quigg of Toronto. (The grandparents live in Caesarea). A welcome into the Church and community to these children..and our best wishes to the young families! The Sunshine Club Singers gave a selection for the occasion, under the direction of Mrs. K. Watt... playing the piano. Scripture lesson was read by Cecille Gib- bons, Caesarea...grandmother of Brandon Quigg. Next Sunday, for a fine discourse at 11 a.m.. Sympathy Extended We were indeed saddened to learn of the death of Albert Harper of Port Perry. (Living out in the country - we didn't hear about it). Our heartfelt sympathy to his dear wife Lillian at this try- ing time and his fine family. He will be very much missed by all! Also, grieved to hear of the passing of Greta St. John of Port Perry, and mother of Elizabeth Fulford. A very lovely lady in my book! She was a great worker in Port Perry United Church when yours truly lived in town. She will be missed by so many! Sympathy to Elizabeth and family members! Notice: Nestleton W.I. meets on October 4, at the home of Doris Nottingham in Caesarea. The District Fun Fair date has been changed to October 17, at Solina.
