Lloyd and Beth Pereman and family attended the wedding of Beth's sister Roxy Denniston and Peter Stewart on Saturday August 26th in Burnstown United Church in the Ottawa Valley. Friends Terry and Eileen Hodgins also attended. Better health is wished for Mr. R. Sproat of King St.. He has been a patient in Oshawa Hospital for several weeks. His daughter has been here from England to be with her mother and dad. On Friday evening Brenda Cummings and Thomas Tennyson were married at the Caesarea . Church. Brenda is the daughter of Bruce and Shirley Cummings. Congratulations to this happy couple. Noreen and Don Crosier spent three weeks travelling 'through the western provinces. Taking in the sights such as Lake Louise Banff and many others. For the holiday week-end, Terry and Eileen Hodgins invited several of their friends to their summer home near Camp- bellford. They included John and Dianna Brough and boys. Roy and Dorothy Hope and twins. Lloyd and Beth Pereman and family. What a beautiful week-end for the Port Perry Fair. I hear that the attendance was good. The Women's building had a, very good display. Congratulations to the Fair Board for another great fair. The fall season starts this week at the community centre with Aerobics Classes, Duplicate Bridge Wednesday afternoon and evening and the euchre on Thurs- day evening at 8 p.m.. doors open at 7:30. Lavern and Mary Devitt of Oshawa took Grace and Les Beacock to the Port Perry Fair on Sunday then had supper. Happy birthday to Mary who will be hav- ing a birthday this week. The Monday evening ladies bowling league are looking for some more bowlers for 7:30.
