ke bork 24 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, September 6, 1989 Area farms host CWY exchange students Canada World Youth (CWY) has been in the Port Perry area for one month, with seven young people from Ecuador and seven young people from across Canada living and working on farms in the area. While in Scugog Township, the Canadians are helping the Ecuadorians to adapt to life in rural Southern Ontario, and they are also helping their counter- parts to learn English. The group will stay in Port Perry until Oct. 24, at which time they will go to Ecuador for three months. In mid-February, 1990, the Canadian participants will return to Port Perry for several days to report on their adventures in Ecuador. The farms include dairy, hogs, sheep and cash crops. The par- ticipants are considered part of the family, and work, eat, socialize and share their culture with the families during their three month stay in each country. In Scugog Township, the follow- ing families are hosting par- ticipants: Henry and Wilma deWolde, John and Joanne Kersten, Herman and Jane Kiezebrink, Bill and Margaret Ann Lamb, Rod and Marlene McKay, Gerald and Nancy Hill << CNET \ EST. 1973 MAKERS OF: PAINTED PINE or NATURAL PINE REPRODUCTIONS and OAK FURNITURE REMINISCENT OF YEARS GONE BY CUSTOM WORK WELCOMED: Come in soon, browse through our showrooms; see and feel the warmth of COUNTRY PINE R.R. 2, UXBRIDGE - SANDY HOOK RD.
