Cartwright ball league results Junior Division Swain Seed Sluggers over H & M Wright Sox with a final score of 15 to 11. One homerun was hit by Derek Campbell for the Sluggers. Triples came again from Derek Campbell and Shane Savage. Outstanding doubles were seen by Shane Savage, Dillan Weber and two by Jacob Blaettler with two. Super singles were hit by Dillan Weber, Jesse Gould and Shauna Hassall. Danny Lyons hit three homeruns for the Sox with a tri- ple from Adam Stewart along with doubles by Jada MacLeod and two by Pam Goble. Singles came from Ben Stephenson and Robert Ranger. Great catching was seen by Danny Lyons and Adam Stewart. Superspuds over Don Frew & Sons with a final score of 9 to 8. For the Superspuds a homerun was hit by Mike Lang along with a triple from Chad Muirhead and a double by David Gainey. Great efforts were made by Danny Deeth and Justin Sheehey. Port Perry Kinsmen over Lishmans with a final score of 12 to 6. The Kinsmen had a grand slam hit by Kingsley Malcolm with homeruns hit by Brad Morton and Maegan Boccaccio with two. A triple came from Ryan Copithorn along with doubles by Jason Logan, Brad Morton, Ryan Copithorn and Jonathan McCourt. Terrific catching and great plays came from Nathan Adams, Jason Logan, Kingsley Malcolm, Brad Morton and three great catches by Maegan Boccaccio. Kirk Swain hit the only homerun for Lishmans along with | .doubles from Shaun Hughes, Ryan Larmer and Doug Lynde with two. Super singles came from Mindy Gainey and Jenny Sheehey with two. Marnoch and Gordon Bentley. : Senior Division Blackstock Country Hardware defeated Causeway Esso once again. Blackstock Country Hardware had homeruns from Chris Bryant, Brandi Boardman, Andy Avis and Chuck Chapman. Triples came from Cliff Pelrine, Chris Bryant, Jay Buma and Erin Hassall with two a piece. Doubles were hit by Chuck Chapman, Chris Bryant, Erin Hassall, Cliff Pelrine, Bran- di Boardman, Andy Avis and Mike Hepburn with two. Super singles were hit by Doug Taylor and Alicia Bentley. Great plays took place by Chris Bryant, Bran- di Boardman and Erin Hassall. Blackstock Lions over Cumm- ings Backhoe with a final score of 15 to 8. The Lions homeruns were hit by Robyn Cliff, Barry Ross and Jason Cliff with two. A triple came from Adam Vivian and doubles by Brent Donnelly and Jeff Vernon. A terrific triple play was seen in this game the first of the season and probably the chances are the last. The outstanding play was choreographed by Darren Leach hitting the ball and Barry Ross catching, missing, Jason Cliff cat- ching again, touching second, throwing to Donny Cliff at third to complete the triple play. Well done!!! Mites On Tuesday, July 25 B & R Electric clinched third place in the Mites 9-10 baseball league with a 16-12 victory over Green- bank Four-kee. Kevin Duncan was the offensive star of the game for B & R Electric. Kevin went 4 for 4, hitting a home run, a double and 2 singles. Tamara Empringham and Michael Bent also hit well, with Tamara getting 3 singles while Michael had 2 doubles and a walk. Michael was the defensive star of the game with 4 strike outs, 3 assists, 1 tagged runner, and 1 caught popup while pitching. Tamara helped out by making 2 putouts at first and catching a high fly ball in right field. See-saw! On July 24, 7 & 8 Mite Teams Valu-Mart and Home Hardware played an exciting game in which the score see-sawed right until the last inning when Valu-Mart broke the tie and ended up the winners 19-15. . For "Home Hardware' Chris Skerratt and Kirsten McKernan made some great throws in field and Patrick McKernan and David Storms put forth a great effort in field and also had some super hits. Matthew MacMaster, Jon Sanders and Chris Elaschuk were also in good form slamming the ball way out field. '"Valu-Mart" players Matthew Rankin, Jamie Page and Grant Hooker made some fantastic manouvers to get many batters out. Todd Mitchell and Jennifer Donnelly showed their talents at slugging the ball to bring some runs in and Jamie Britt and Steven Nagy had a super game at bat and out in field. We're really happy to have Christopher Thompson back after feeling under the weather for a couple of weeks. He had some terrific hits and played extremely well in field. Welcome back Chris.
