Last chance for VIA? As reported in the Port Perry Star last week, members of the Toronto/Havelock Line Passengers Association are less than optimistic about the fu- ture of this line. In fact, they say the line, along with other Regional routes will be shut down in ear- ly January. He said the tentative date to get underway on the 90 luxu- ry condominiums and indoor market mall is this fall, with the target date for completion set forlate 1990 and early 1991. The indoor covered market with two levels and an outdoor bell tower is to be built on the land where Conway, the former Bayshore Takeout and the car wash now sit. The project has been four years in the planning stages, and the costs have already pushed over $3 million. While the final price tag on this project is not' known, it is certainly going to be higher (Turn to page 5) Lakeside en Se ab bg WN
