Freeman, with members and elders of the W.M.S. assisting. You might be interested to know that church services at the Old Stone Church are being con- ducted the first Sunday of July, August and September at 3:00 p.m. Doug and Florence Ashton at- tended the Canadian Gospel Music Association Convention at Redeemer's College, Ancaster, last Saturday evening. The Tor- chmen were one of many groups singing and won the award for the fourth time, as the best Canadian Male group in traditional gospel music. Last Sunday, Rev. McEntyre and Ruth Oliver gave a report on the General Assembly which was held in Montreal the beginning of this month. The new moderator for the Presbyterian Church in Canada is Dr. Harold Maurice of Glenview Church, Toronto. Canada Day is fast approaching with all the fun and activities to take place at Ashburn Park. The day begins with a pancake breakfast from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. Events include: balloon release, surprise exhibits, brass band, one enormous tug-o-war, games, clowns and other local talent, side shows and races (for kids and adults), hat painting, his and her competitions - prizes for all.
