The company is seeking permission for a ready-mix con- crete plant on a lot in the North- port Industrial Park, Paul Harold told council the company already does a lot of ready mix business in Port Perry from its Sunderland plant, and wants to locate in Scugog to serve this Township. He said the company would employ ten people as drivers (six) and four others at the plant. Materials such as sand and gravel would be stock-piled for concrete trucked in every sec- ond day for storage in a silo with special dust control devices. Six ready-mix trucks would operate from the batching plant, he told the council. . A resident who lives south of the proposed industrial lot asked for assurances that the plant would be fenced and buf- fered with trees, and that out- door stock-piles would not be too close to the propertylines. In response to a question from council, Mr. Harold said water used to wash down con- crete trucks is re-cycled. - The land is already zoned industrial.
