At the end of this week, Mrs. Zelda Jeronimo will close her wicket for the last time. For health reasons, Mrs. Jeronimo hasbeen forced to sell the Greenbank General Store and go into semi-retirement in Sonya with her husband. Zelda tearfully said that she is very sad to be leaving, she is really going to miss oper- ating the store and post office. he said, "It was almost like a family, all the people I used to talk to. "I want to thank the com- munity for all the support over the years and hope that they will extend that same support tothe Changs." The Jeronimo's have run the store for nearly 11 years. They moved to Greenbank from Oshawa, and lived above the store. The new owners, Young Sung Chang, his wife Jinny and nine year old son Paul, have moved here from Toronto. QUIT FOR LIFE STOP SMOKING -- Just 20 minutes Jinny said that she was glad to move into this area, and out of the city. "People are friendly and nice. It is a quiet, clean, and Hessap town." The Changs plan to keep operating the general store in the tradition of the Jeronimos. They are planning to expand their inventory to meet the community demand for certain goods. - Mrs Jeronimo's two daugh- ters currently attend Port Perry High School. They were sad to be moving away from their friends and the life they have known for 11 years. Earl Jeronimo has been re- tired for several years following a serious car accident. Zelda is looking forward to being able to spend more time with him. Greenbank residents gave the Jeronimos a big going away tea on April 2.
