Feb. 14th at 7:00 p.m. at the Sunderland Town Hall, with the official opening by Brock Township Mayor, Don Hadden. The festival provides a forum for young musicians from the Brock, Scugog, Uxbridge, Mariposa, Eldon and former Georgina Township areas to per- form publicly and receive assess- ment from' professional adjudicators. As usual, a large contingent of musicians from: the surrounding areas will participate this year, including choir and instrumental groups from the public schools, as well as choirs, triple trios, jazz bands and concert 'bands from . Interested students are en- couraged to apply as soon as possible since each student is selected on a first-come first- served basis. This year's deadline is March 31, 1989. Students must be 17 years of age by December 31, 1989, but not 18 by July 31, 1989 (born between August 1, 1971, and December 31, 1972). The program is open to students who are enrolled in an Ontario secondary school and eligible to work in Canada.
