This event was sponsored by the O.N.O." On Sunday about fifty-six members of the Mountjoy- Ferguson clans gathered at the Red Centre for their annual get- together. After a delicious dinner the afternoon was spent visiting, skating and playing cards. Jan and Les Bushfield, Trevor and Dana of London spent the weekend with Jan's parents Mr. and Mrs. Murray Byers and at- tended the reunion of the Mountjoys. Keith and Ruth Johnstop of Belleville visited Mr. and"Mrs. Frank Hoskin and attended the gathering at the Rec Centre as well. Mrs. Lela Wannan of St. Catherines is spending a few days with Mrs. Ivan Mountjoy in Margaret's beautiful new home. . On Sunday about 45 descen- dants of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ferguson gathered at the Nestleton Hall for their New Year's dinner and afternoon. At- tending were Grant and Ruth Ferguson of "Toronto and their families, George and Mona Dunbar of Scarborough and their families, Sandra and Noel Morton of Oshawa and families, Lloyd and Thelma Wright, Bill and Jean Ferguson of Blackstock and their families. A group of square dancers from here attended the New Year's Eve party at the home of Glen and Caroline Dowson north of Bowmanville. Sunday guests of Walter and Audrey Wright were Lorna Wright, Kingston, Eleanor Senior Citizens meeting by E. Irvine The Senior Citizens held their meeting on December 28th which was opened by the President with the singing of O'Canada. This was followed by 2 minutes silence for Rose Willougby and John Hall. - Business as usual, and a short talk by Mr. Ed Walker and also J. Greenwood. Then we were enter- tained by the Lions Club with a wine and cheese party. Our next meeting will be -January 11 with a pot luck supper at 5 o'clock. There is a euchre on Wednes- day at 1:30 and Saturday the 7th all at the Latcham Centre. Square dancing at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. Happy New Year to all from . Club 101. On the way home they visited Aileen's sister Hazel Belyea who now lives in a retire- ment home in Oakville. Poonsup Viresanti of Ottawa joined her friend Lorna Wright at Walter and Audrey Wright's for a few days last week. On Sunday morning, David & Nancy Mahaffy and their twin daughters Lauren and Kelsey called on Jean Mahaffy. Lorna and Lisa Edgerton and Bessie Crawford enjoyed a week's vacation in Florida. This trip was a surprise Christmas present for Bessie. Grant and Heather McLaughlin, Carla and Abby, Mrs. Jean Mahaffy were Sunday evening dinner guests of Gib and Shirley Magill and Brian of Columbus. Best wishes to Shirley and Shelley Holliday who moved to Pleasant View Park, north of Lindsay. Neil and Kathy McLaughlin and family were New Year's Day din- ner guests of their cousins Randy and Mary Edgeworth and family at Kingston. It has ben many years since Barb's family has been together in Collingwood to celebrate Christmas.
