OSHAWA BREAK-IN Durham Police are investigat- ing a day-time breakin at a home on the 9th Concession, Scugog Township. Police say the home was en- tered when a ground floor window was smashed on December 7. The owners of the home were away at the time. Police suspect the intruder may have been scared off when an audible automatic alarm in the house was activated. The owners reported that noth- ing was missing, but several rooms had been ransacked. And Police are investigating Washroom location is on hold A decision on the best loca- tion for new washrooms and club house for the Soccer Fields will have to wait until after Durham Region finishes a feasibility study on expanding the sewage lagoon system. The Scugog Youth Soccer Club has been working to put the wheels in motion for a new club house and washrooms to replace the inadequate facilities now used at the fields. However, a letter from the Re- gion's engineering department suggests that no decision on the location of the new club house be made until later this year or early in the New Year. The Region's sewage treat- ment feasibility study is looking at the possibility of constructing new sewage lagoons and the study will identify the land needed for these lagoons. _That study should be complet- ed in the next few weeks, accord- ing to the Region's engineers.
