BANTAM Frank Real Estate 4 Swamp Auto 3 Carl Payne opened the scoring early in the first period, scoring unassisted, to give Swamp Auto the lead. Midway in the period John Woodward deflected a shot from the blue line to tie the score. Assists went to Chris Cooper and Eric Grosvenor. With two minutes remaining Ross Stainton converted a Chris Cooper pass to put Frank Real Estate ahead. Neither team was able to score in the second period. Early in the third Kevin Brown tied the score on a pass from Herb Hatch. With two minutes remaining in the game Ryan Picard stole the puck from behind the net and scored while his team was playing short handed. Chris Cooper tied the score for Frank with a shot from the blue line. Frank captured the win when Chris Cooper scored on a rebound in front of the net with only three seconds remaining in the game. Emmerson answered with three goals to close out the scor- ing in the first period. Neil Mark scored twice and Vince Criscione once. Assists went to Adam Dan- tor (2), Scott MacLennon and Troy Fisher. The teams traded goals in the second to make the score Emmerson 4 - Swamp 2. Herb Hatch scored unassisted for Swamp and Troy Fisher from Adam Dantor for Emmerson. Ryan Picard opened the scoring in the third scoring unassisted. Herb Hatch scored from Lee Phillips to tie the score while they were playing short handed. PEE WEE December 10 Big V Drug Store 5 Emiels 4 Big V were off to a flying start this morning and had popped three goals before Emiels had realized what was going on. Big V opened the scoring on a goal by Neil Hancock assisted by Ryan Ridgway and Russell Gascogne. Blair Prechitko scored the next two for Big V, Nicki Beare and Ryan Ridgway assisting on the first, Brandon Puckrin and Nicki Beare the second. In the dying minutes of the period, Emiels came to life and Rob Romano found the target on a nice pass from Steve MacDonald. In the second Big V still show- ing determination to win, scored on a nice goal by Blair Beveridge unassisted. Emiels now with their backs to the clock popped in two quick ones. Mike Labanovich scored both goals unassisted. Now the game has the fans on their toes as Emiels have sparked and are coming on strong. However, it was Big V who scored the next goal on a perfect shot from the stick of Drew Royale assisted by Blair Beveridge. In the third period we saw some excellent hockey and it was Emiels who scored the only goal on a blister from Steve Mac- Donald with Tim Masterson receiving the assist. The remainder of the period was Larocque's as they tallied for three more. Kevin Pearce from Linda Mahaffy and Jamie Lowe, and then Mark Cosway had two, Jamie Lowe and Linda Mahaffy assisting on Mark's first and Louis Whitfield with Jeff Fletcher receiving the assist on Marks second. In the third period both teams tightened up and it wasn't until the final minute Big V scored their second goal again with Bill Sandiford picking up the target with Chad Venning and Nicki Beare earning the assists. Final score: Larocque 5 -- Big V 2 ATOM Lake Scugog Lumber 5 Tripp Realty 2 The Lumbermen jumped into an early lead scoring the first two goals of the game. Stewart Bruce assisted by Jon Jamieson then Jon Jamieson unassisted gave Scugog a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period. Tripp finally broke through with Mike Wilson assisted by Steven Cochrane then Johnathan McCourt with a great backhand assisted by Steven Cochrane tied the contest at 2-2. With time run- ning out in the second period Matt Brown gave Scugog a 3-2 lead with Glenn Espie drawing the assist. With the shorthanded Tripp team tiring Scugog scored the on- ly 2 goals of the third period. Matt Bengel completed a nice three way play with Jon Jamieson and Stewart Bruce drawing the assists then Matt Brown on a solo effort. In the third it was again all Lions as Scott Prechitko found the twine assisted by Terry Jellicoe and goalie Jamie Trick. Terry Jellicoe rounded out the scoring with Ryan Duff and Matthew Philips drawing the assists. December 7 Whitby Auto Wreckers 4 Gord Lewis 3 Lewis came out flying for this game but a momentary lapse of concentration late in the game allowed Whitby to gain the vic- tory. Whitby opened the scoring with Jason Brown finding the mark with Mike Balmforth assisting. Lewis struck back with Justin Wooton assisted by Jerimy Stevens then it was Tony Waldriff buldging the twine with the help of Scott Swain and Chris Vandermeer to give Lewis a 2-1 lead heading into the second period. The second period saw both teams have trouble moving the inor Hockey House Leagues puck due to the tight checking. Jason Brown tied the game tak- ing a great pass from Darren Kin- nunen to knot the game at 3-3. Justin Wooton assisted by Kristen Wooton and Jason Vader gave Lewis the lead moving into the third. Both teams continued the tight checking in this period but with just over 2 minutes to play Lewis gave the puck away in their own end resulting in Steven Hiemstra tieing the match assisted by Ryan Morton. Then with 6 seconds left in the game Jason Brown spotted a wide open Darren Kinnunen who streaked down the left side and deposited the puck just inside the post for the winning goal. Lions 4 Tripp 0 The Lions again came out roar- ing taking the play to Tripp through the entire game. Terry Jellicoe opened the scoring tipp- ing in a pass from Noah Smith and Matthew Philips to give the Lions the only goal of the first period. The second period was scoreless but if it were not for the goaltending of Mike Wilson the Lions could have easily added a few more. Matthew Philips con- nected with his first of the game with Scott Prechitko and Devin Blair getting the assists. On a mad scramble around Tripps net Terry Jellicoe scored assisted by Eric Vetter and Scott Pretchitko then it was Matthew Philips clos- ing out the scoring with Matt McClelland and Colin Outram getting the assists.
