Debbie Appleton was Maid of Honour and Brian Ap- pleton was Best Man. Rev. Edith Bolton officiated at the lovely ceremony .. and the organist was Edna Beckett! The reception was held in the Port Perry Legion Hall. Many guests were present from Western Canada..Edmon- ton, Regina, Borden, and Saska- toon. Also - from Toronto, Scar- borough, Orono, Brighton, Port Perry, Manchester and other points. Ernie and Lori spent their honeymoon in Florida and saw many places of interest. They are making their home in Port Perry. Our best to them for happiness! The Churches An average attendance at Caesarea Community Church on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. W.H. Crawford conduc- ting the service. His sermon was entitled "Effectual Praying" bas- ed on Scripture from James 5:16. Norma Arney read Scripture- Ephesians 6:10-18 and Klaas Stek led the responsive reading. The Sunshine Club (Primary and Junior) will be meeting Tues. from 4-5 p.m. to prepare the Christmas program..Lyn Arney in charge. Kathy Watts - organist. Due to bad weather, a smaller attendance at the Nestleton Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fred Swann in the pulpit. Dorothy McCabe was organist. Psalm 46 was read responsively and Scripture was 1st Timothy 3. Rev. Swann's ser- mon was interesting re - "Instruc- tion of Elders and their qualifications"! At Nestleton United Church at 11:15 a.m. greeters were Kay Not- man and family. Barb Weir was Usher. Rev. Dale Davis presented a timely message on "Leader- ship" and also played the piano for the Service! He was assisted by student Norman Seli reading Scripture and giving the closing Prayer.
