A program of music, dancing, etc. was presented by guest performers the Senior Entertainers from Ux- bridge and our own Lucienne Ross. The ladies returned at 8 p.m. to Epsom Church for meeting and worship. A short worship service was led by Irene Fielding and Hymn 114 "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" was sung. A story was read of 2 men in France who stood together at the end of the Great War. They were Field Marshal Earl Haig and a young Scots minister who was his personal chaplain on the battlefields. "Two minutes in a whole round year, a trifling time to give to brave and battle weary men who died that we might live. Aye long ago it was - and yet- who now among us dare forget." Worship ended with prayer. Roll call was answered by 14 members. Offering was received and dedicated. Thank-you notes . were read from Nancy Skelding, Margaret Payne and Faye | Now Open -- New Location Ashton. Plans for the Nov. 18th bazaar in Utica Hall were discuss- ed. Support to be given to Opera- tion Scugog in support of two families, Fred Victor Mission, Central Seven and Camping Opportunities. A slate of officers for 1989 was presented by the nominating com- mittee and adopted. Past Pres. Elizabeth Taylor, Pres. Eileen Slute, Vice Pres. Elva Kerry, 2nd Vice Pres. Faye Ashton, Treasurer Nancy Skelding, Secretary Alice Ross, Asst. Sec. Vera Brown and pianist Betty Tapscott. Our next meeting will be on December 13th and will be a potluck noon luncheon.
