'Front. left, - 'Beaver: 'Jason: Price: and - Cub Colin' Manns. Obituary Flossie Ploughman Flossie Ploughiman passed away at the Port Perry Hospital on Saturday, September 3, 1988. She was in her 89th year. She was born April 1, 1900 in Caesarea. She was the daughter of Walter and Ellen Samells. The family moved to Scugog Island in 1918. On July 12, 1919, Flossie married Stanley Ww. Ploughman on Scugog Island at the family home. From 1919 to 1927 they farmed on the Island. Then moved to Port Perry with 3 daughters where Flossie lived her life and enjoyed her. children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Flossie was a member of the Port Perry United Church, a Sun- day School teacher, mission band leader and W.M.S. and then a U.C.W. life member. She was a constant helper to Stanley in cub work. She was a 4H leader for several years and a life member of the Women's Institute. Flossie was an active member of the Senior Citizens and a charter . member of Maybelle Rebekah's Lodge 348. Flossie Ploughman was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Ploughman (1985). Dearly loved mother of Luella Kennedy, Ellen McCabe, and predeceased by Norma Wood. Loved grand- mother of 7 grandchildren and 10. great grandchildren, sister of, 'Dennis, Charles and George Samells, all ed; dear sister-in-law of Myrtle Palmer of Oshawa. : A funeral service was held at : the Wagg Funeral Home in Port Perry on Tuesday, September 6 at 2 p.m. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. Rev. Robert LePage officiated. The many floral tributes and memorial donations were gratefully appreciated.
