John Tur- cotte is showing some improve- ment in the treatment of his serious back problems at home. John has spent several months in great pain and is understandably tired of the life as a shut-in. LINTON -- Donna Jean Gibson and Roger Neil Linton exchanged wedding vows on August 6, 1988 at the Port Perry United Church. Rev. Bob LePage officiated at the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Gibson of Port Perry. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Linton of Prince Albert. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a full length gown of white satin. The lace bodice was adorned with pearls and sequins and the full skirt fell into a chapel train edged with em- broidery. A gold bracelet that belonged to the bride's great grandmother was worn as a symbol of good luck. A satin hat with fingertip veil and a cascade bouquet of peach roses and white gardenias completed her ensemble. Tracey Cochrane of Blackstock, a close friend of the bride acted as maid of honour. The bride was also attended by her sisters, Elizabeth Beacock and Barbara Gibson, both of Port Perry, and Velvet Ross, sister of the groom, of Leaskdale. The attendants wore cocktail length gowns of peach brocaded satin and carried hand-crocheted baskets of peach and white flowers accented with teal ribbons. Tom Martin of Port Perry, friend of the groom, acted as best man. The ushers were Ron Linton of Raglan, friend of the groom, Rick Linton of Prince Albert, and Gary Linton of Bexley, both brothers of the groom. Soloist Cathryn Hall of London, was accompanied by Dr. F. Alan Reesor, uncle of the bride from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Following a dinner and dance held at Immaculate Conception Hall in Port Perry, the happy couple honeymooned in Vermont. The newlyweds now reside in Port Perry.
